Splendid wall antique tapestry entirely hand-sewn, of fine Italian manufacture.
The antique tapestry belongs to the second half of the 20th century. This Work depicting landscape with bourgeois characters in romantic style of good quality. The Tapestry frame is decorated as if there really were a frame enclosing it. Tapestry of great size and pleasant decoration, for antique dealers and interior decorators. Ideal work for a room or living room. Woven fabric fixed on wooden frame (see photo) with some minor signs of wear, overall in good state of preservation.
On the canvas on the left we see two women intent on feeding swans, one is kneeling, the other above her. Instead, on the opposite side is a man sitting with a little girl, hypothetically the daughter of one of the two women. A dog observes the scene from the low corner, crouched in the grass. So, the clothes are very skimpy and elegant, suggesting a bourgeois class.
In the other tapestry, instead, three women seem to be chatting and sistering, while a man seems to be courting them. The context hints at a very high social class, just look at the setting: a bubbling nature forming part of a castle garden, clearly visible on the horizon.
The antique tapestry is simply fabulous.
