Beautiful desk by Eugenio Gerli and Osvaldo Borsani. The two designers teamed up to design the Graphis desk system for Tecno. Made in Italy in 1968. The desk is part of a design for a modular system. The Graphis desk made of black plastic with steel-metal feet and inserts.
Graphis is a modular system based on the logic of a small number of highly versatile components that can be repeated and combined with each other. Combinations include rectangular or round tops, support angles, panel bases, partition screens, storage units, shelves on tops, and accessories for electrification.
Indeed, one notices the metal holes that allow the passage of wires but also the small panel that opens to facilitate the disappearance of the double shelf.
As can be seen, the double shelf can be removed to allow the desk and work surface to be expanded.
The absolute and elementary form of this system proposes a radical, democratic and undifferentiated interpretation of the office, offering maximum creative freedom for open and shared layouts.
A universe of solutions made of clean cuts, right angles, flat surfaces. Dedicated to interior architecture solutions where formal rigor and cleanliness are linked to functionality and space optimization.
Formal purity and endless possibilities make the system perfect for work and meeting spaces, executive offices and home-office environments.
