Gilbert Poillerat French Mid-Century Floor Lamp (Attr.)

Out of stock

A rare mid-century French floor lamp attributed to the great French designer Gilbert Poillerat in the 1940s.
The lamp consists of a base, created by a wrought iron stem, which rests on the three feet of the base, which create a very elegant and classic, typically French, curl.
As the stem rises, it grafts into the fantastic lampshade made of pleated velveteen velveteen original of the period, yellow ochre in colour; it shows obvious signs of wear and time. The lamp holds three lights, creating a playful and very elegant effect at the same time. The lampshade is adorned with balls in the same fabric that hang elegantly from the hat.
The lamp is suitable for typically vintage environments.
