Lovely varnished wooden holder from the 1960s designed by Giorgio Tura, of fine Italian manufacture.
The holder is made entirely of dark wood, very beautiful and elegant. On the outside, the wood is painted beige.
The holder has an oval shape, with a smaller, narrower, round base. From the base, as it rises, the object widens to become an excellent container. A very pretty brass salamander is placed in the centre.
The top has a lid, with a. brass element and a rope surmounting it. The true colour of the wood can clearly be seen inside.
The special feature of the holder is the woodwork: on the outside, bulges can be seen, which add movement to the structure.
The object holder is ideal as a vase, as a storage object, but also as a mere decorative object due to its beauty.
Height: 24 cm (9.44 in.)
Diameter: 15 cm (5.90 in.)
The object is in good and original vintage condition, scratches and light wear consistent with its time and use.
Being a VINTAGE item it is possible that it will bear some scratches or defects.
