Italian Mid-Century Gray Marble Column

Availability: 1 in stock

Beautiful display column made in 1940 of fine Italian workmanship.
The column is made entirely of carved gray marble.
The base has a beautiful octagonal shape on which stands a second round base supporting a beautiful frieze resembling a marble flower. This flowery structure is eclipsed by the cylindrically shaped shaft of the column with a kind of marble garland that runs, wrapping around it several times, the column.
Centrally we see a kind of joint made thanks to four circles that wrap around the column.
After that the structure narrows and then widens on the capital, which holds the final square-shaped support base. The corners of the square are very beveled creating a sharp cut, to make it positionable in any position.
The column is very beautiful and is suitable for houses as grand as it is.

Height: 106 cm (41.73 in.)

Diameter: 27 cm (10.62 in.)

The column is in good and original vintage condition, slight scratches and light wear consistent with its time and use. Being a VINTAGE item it is possible that it will bear some scratches or defects.
