Pair of white armchairs model Karelia designed by Liisi Beckmann for the Zanotta manufacture in 1966. With double-density polyurethane foam frame and removable white vinyl cover. An icon of 1960s pop culture and also a very comfortable seat. Liisi Beckmann’s Karelia seat is part of that series of typologically innovative objects. Anthropomorphic and typical forms of the space age years, where shapes take on sculptural forms. The Karelia chair embodies in itself the free and experimental language of the 1960s and 1970s, a sculptural piece of furniture that by no means shows its fifty years.
