Lovely pair of mid-century armchairs, model “Milord,” designed by Marco Zanuso for the fine Italian manufacturer Arflex in 1957.
The armchairs have a base made entirely of fine wood, supported by 4 rather wide legs with an asymmetrical shape. The front ones are slightly thicker to better support the weight.
The frame rises to include the arms themselves, with a slight curve between the back and seat.
The seat and back are upholstered in a soft and very comfortable ochre-colored cotton and silk fabric with a beautiful dark blue damask weave. On the backrest are 3 buttons that create a delicate decorative effect.
On the frame are beautiful golden decorative bolts.
The armchairs are suitable for reading areas as well as for large and white rooms. These beautiful armchairs will fit into any tastefully matched environment.
