Precious ladies’ dressing table in the Napoleon III style circa 1800.
This is a French dressing table with original gilt bronze ormolu supports and working lock and key.
The top lifts to reveal a compartmentalized interior fitted with a mirror and ormolu gilt bronze hinges and lock designed with ornaments.
The lock is decorated with a brass medallion inlaid in the same color. It stands on shaped cabriole legs of black lacquered wood with bronze ornamental frames.
On the sides are bronze ornaments as well as in the edges of the tabletop.
Inside stands a mirror with brass ornaments. Under the drawer is a small pull-out box that serves as a work drawer.
Ideal for completing sleeping areas or elegant women’s walk-in closets.
