Beautiful dark wood statue made in the 1920s by the great artist Paolo Troubetzkoy, fine Italian manufacture.
The statue is titled ‘The Teenager’ and in fact represents a girl intent on arranging her hair.
The artist’s signature is clearly distinguishable on the base.
The girl is depicted with her face down toward the ground and her arms pulled up to touch her hair, probably to fix it.
The breasts are small almost sketchy, typical of an adolescent body. On the waist is a belt, suggesting that the girl’s dress is a long dress down to her feet, considering that these are not visible.
The statue is very beautiful suitable for decorating bookcases and art shelves.
Height: 44 cm (17.32 in.)
Width: 15 cm (5.90 in.)
