Rare Wall Mirror by Gio Ponti in Silver Leaf and Brass

Availability: 1 in stock

Very rare wall mirror by the great Italian architect Gio Ponti, 1930s. Made with a wooden body i.e. with a wooden frame. The frame has been finished with silver leaf to give a shiny, metallic effect to the rare mirror.
The mirror has typical Italian Art Deco shapes where sharp angles soar towards each other. To give balance to the mirror we notice in the bottom two rounded shapes, where in the center we find a decorative brass element with a convex shape. We also find this decorative brass element at the top. The mirror glass has abrasions that donotate its originality, preciousness and age.
The rare Gio Ponti mirror is perfect for collectors who love Italian design, or for elegant and precious living rooms. The mirror is also ideal for prestigious grand foyers.
