Rare and wonderful self-winding Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner from 1963.
This gorgeous wristwatch is truly enchanting, it has the dial, black and with underline gold graphics, the case and movement signed Rolex, the black graduated and rotating bezel and the burgundy colored suede strap where inside it has black colored leather inserts.
The Rolex watch is contained in its elegant original red velvet box, and includes several additional spare parts, such as the dial, the bezel, the crystal, the crown and the Oyster Fliplock steel strap, contained instead in another original plastic box also signed Rolex.
The peculiarity of this beautiful Rolex wristwatch is its history, in fact, its owner was Roger Malaussena, a famous French parachutist champion in Tahiti in 1964, who at that time has written in his own hand to Rolex in Geneva to design innovative spare parts, comfortable and practical for his watch, options that could allow him in short, to carry out his profession, that is the paratrooper, in an easier way, without sacrificing the elegance and refined style of his precious watch even during his jumps.
We are proud to own, exclusively, the original documents that certify the history of our rare Rolex wristwatch, such as the original correspondence between Rolex Geneva and Roger Malaussena in 1963, the Israeli Rolex warranty and the Service receipts.
The Rolex watch was serviced in 1989.
