Stunning set consisting of a French ormolu clock and two large candelabra. The ormolu watch is made by Samuel Marti. The bronze is attributed to Alfred Emmanuel Louis Beurdeley. Inside the mechanism there’s the watchmaker’s original mark dated 1900, stamped with a gold medal.
The set consists of a watch and a pair of high-quality mercury bronze candelabra.
The ormolu watch has a side drape with laurel purses and foliate finials. The dial is in white enamel with cartouche Roman numerals. Serial No. 9685 c.d.
The watch has a suspended base with small purses with foliage that flank a tassel drapery containing. The back is draped and in the center there’s a pivot with the gear. The composition ends with the putto or winged angel inserted over the clasp.
The set is completed by a pair of six-light candelabra (one central and five arms) with a grooved body and vase shaped lights shaped with strap handles, on a base worked and decorated with foliage. Overall decorated with enameled bands of arabesques and swirls and neogreek motifs with palmettes and stylized antennas.

Condition:

The clocks are in good original period condition, with minor scratches and light wear consistent with time and use. As this is a VINTAGE item it is possible that it will bear some scratches or defects.
