Sofa by Ettore Sottsass for Kartell “Memphis” Collection 2018

Out of stock

Rare modular sofa with three seats made by Kartell and coming from the “Memphis” collection designed by Ettore Sottsass.
With this lively and eccentric collection, Kartell wants to celebrate and pay tribute to Sottsass, a great master of design who designed a series of unpublished projects expressly for Kartell, exclusively for the company, and dedicating to her in 2015, the off-salon installation of the Kartell Flagship Store in Milan, curated and signed by Ferruccio Laviani, focused on the design movement with post-futurist aesthetics. Completing the display were several lines of sofas and soft seating upholstered in the highly prized and colorful fabrics of the Memphis collection, some of which were later put into production.
The imposing three-module sofa can be transformed to one’s liking and taste, in fact it is possible to create a two-seat sofa by joining the side modules with the armrests and/or an armchair without armrests by using the central module. Each module has a different width than the other modules, plastic feet marked Kartell. Memphis mesh fabric in beige and black with removable cover.
The beautiful Ettore Sottsass sofa is now out of production, for this reason it is a very rare piece to find. It is suitable for large and spacious environments with modern and futuristic style.
