Wonderful pair of vintage futuristic Space Age “Galaxy” swivel armchairs by Alf Svensson & Yngvar Sandstorm for Dux Sweden. The design dates back to 1968 when the space race to the moon and the futuristic Concorde plane inspired the world.
The base of the vintage lounge chairs is made of steel and consists of a central pivot that supports the frame and splits into four well-stabilized feet. The seat frame is made of transparent yellow plastic and is in good vintage condition. The seat features a grid pattern and gives the vintage lounge chairs a unique look.The upholstery of the vintage lounge chairs is made of black semi-leather and it connects to its frame via small buttons. The small buttons of the lounge chairs are located at the top of the backrest and on the end of the seat.
