Rare brass cross designed by Arnaldo Pomodoro and his brother Giò Pomodoro in the 1950s, of fine Italian manufacture. It is part of the V/58/16 model. The cross is made entirely of brass, of superhuman beauty. The cross has a fairly classical structure, with the two bands meeting to form a cross. The corners are quite rounded. The end of each band widens a lot to give life to real square shapes, exceptionally decorated. The workmanship is done in very gentle and beautiful squiggles, with the application of small, but very impressive, brass finials. In addition, there appear to be carved elements representing the legs, arms and head of Christ. The cross is ideal as furniture for true collectors.
