Lovely set of 3 vintage secret document holder, made in the 30’s of fine Italian craftsmanship.
The vintage secret document holder look like books, while inside they have secret compartments, which can serve as document holders, but also as a holder for precious objects. They are made of wood while the outside is made of imitation leather, with golden decorations.
There are 3 document holders: one dark brown and one light brown of the same size showing 4 books each, while the red one is smaller and more square and shows 6 books externally.
The two larger ones contain smaller, thinner compartments created especially for important and secret documents or letters.
The red document holder on the other hand does not contain any compartments, it is one large compartment, useful for larger items.
The vintage secret document holder are ideal to place in bookcases, or on vintage consoles, but also in offices or rooms.
